Hot Dog!

Yesterday we got our first taste of Summer with the temperature reaching 37C at our place. Today will see a cool change early afternoon but promises to be as warm or even hotter before a southerly wind brings down the temperature by about 12C in as many minutes. Gemma seemed to appreciate the ice on her neck and in her water.

Poor Gemma - perhaps you should shear her coat for her - she would blend in with the Alpacas?

Looking forward to goggling the Australian Open - hope the heat cools down for the players. Have followed Andy this year but feel he has probably shot his bolt too early for much success.

How interesting to read about your hot summer day when we are expecting the coldest temperatures yet this winter tomorrow (below 0 F). Up Country is of my favorite Nelson DeMille books. Sometime I'll tell the story of how I got my copy of it
