For Strawberry Jam Anne

More local wildlife - I expect you saw these rainbow lorikeets in Adelaide. Anyway, these are Victorian ones and very common and chatty they are too! In which case they could be called Victorian Beckhams, I suppose. To answer your question, since 1979 and, although I miss my UK family, I wouldn't live in the UK for quids (other than for the West Country and its pubs!)

G'day - yes I have seen and heard the lorikeets as well as the galahs etc etc. But thanks for that. Son and family love to take us to forest and national park so that we can see the wildlife in its natural state, as well as the parks and zoos where they are captive. And when I go with son on his evening walk with their dog we frequently see kangaroos.

Understand how you feel about UK -v- Australia. I am beginning to come to terms with part of our family living so far away and having visited believe they have made right choice.

Hope you don't mind the corny greeting.

I visited Australia for 6 months back in '89 and spent about a decade watching anything Australian just to hear the accent or see the views.

Love the lorikeets. Love your puns, too!
